    General Summary of Position:
    The Facilities Engineer is responsible for assisting in the coordination of all manufacturing/facilities maintenance activities such that the business can meet or exceed all customer expectations by creating a culture of service excellence

    Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
    Maintain safety, quality, and compliance in accordance with departmental policies and proceduresAssist with the maintenance of equipmentAssist in planning and coordinating maintenance activitiesResponsible for corrective, preventative, and predictive maintenanceAssist with facilities development with regard to capital planning, process improvement, justification, procurement, and installationPerform preventive and corrective maintenance and repair of existing equipment and modification of new equipmentAssist management in the evaluation process when determining the outsourcing of maintenance, projects, and improvements to contractors and/or vendorsPartner with contractors and/or vendors as required to carry out maintenance, projects, and improvementsOperate, maintain, and record waste treatments, including ordering and inventory of waste chemicalsAssist with work orders, calibrations, and inspections as needed1st tier support team member in emergency and/or unplanned shut-down and/or start-upsGeneral upkeep of the facilitiesOther job duties as assignedQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent requiredTrade School Certification or Associates degree in applicable trade 5 to 10 years of direct experience in a maintenance roleExperience with programming and networking PLC for automation and process control (preferred)

    Experience with designing and implementing process improvements (preferred)Must be able to work with hazardous chemicalsMust be able to work outside of normal business hours to support the businessAbility to work with and follow instructions from supervisors and/or other Facilities Engineer(s)Knowledge of general maintenance and repairs in a manufacturing environmentAbility to use hand tools and power toolsExcellent organizational and time management skillsExcellent problem-solving skills with ability to think analyticallyProlonged periods standing and walkingMust be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spacesMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a timeCan work independently and collaboratively as a team member to meet goalsMeets or exceeds our internal and external customers' expectations consistentlyAbility to be positive during difficult or challenging situationsDirect Reports:
