    General Summary of Position:

    This being an internal opportunity, only current UML Employees, irrespective of Bargaining units are eligible to apply for this position.

    As a part of the Center for Population Health in the Zuckerberg College of Health Sciences, the Biostatistician/Research Scientist will join a team of interdisciplinary scientists to contribute to ongoing population-based epidemiologic research projects on genetics, dietary exposures, health disparities, aging, and cardiometabolic and musculoskeletal health. Excellence in research is critical. Opportunities exist to collaborate with Tufts University and Harvard. The role will include data management, developing and guiding data analyses, and contributing to and leading manuscripts and new research proposals.

    Minimum Qualifications (Required):

    • Education: PhD/ScD in Epidemiology or related field
    • Experience: Clinical, omics and/or public health research. At least two years of experience with data management required
    • Skills: Strong statistical analysis and data programming skills using SAS and/or SAS/SQL
    • Strong track record of first- and co-authored publications
    • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

    Preferred:

    • Experience with advanced statistical modeling, such as SEM
