NW Employment Solutions is partnering with a company that makes custom vegetable and corn powders for soup. We are looking for an experienced Safety Lead to join an AMAZING TEAM in Forest Grove, OR

Schedule: M-F 8:30am to 5pm

Pay: $60,000 – 70,000/year, DOE

Responsibility:

• evelop and execute health and safety plans, enforce policies, assess risks, and promote a safety culture.
• Create a safe work environment and minimize hazards to protect employees.
• Work closely with the production team.
• Write SOP for the production team.
• Conduct training, investigate incidents, and provide recommendations for improvement, aiming to create a safe and compliant work environment.
• Maintain accurate records for safety.
• Assist in health and safety management systems in accordance with organization plans and compliance with and adherence to legislation and agreed regulatory bodies' processes and procedures.
• Be responsible for performing all duties in compliance e.g. ISO certification, OSHA.
• Assist with identifying the lack of and/or improvements to policy and process, assess the effectiveness of current policies and processes, and recommend and implement required changes.

Requirement:

• Experience in this type of job role in food manufacturing companies.
• Experience in health and safety governance.
• Experience with computer software. Proficient with MS Office, emails, etc.
• Strong organizational skills
• Must be able to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Good oral communication skills
• Experience meeting and implementing OSHA guidelines.
