As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for minor and major repairs
and maintenance of heavy equipment vehicles (i.e., snow-fighting equipment and dump trucks), light vehicles (roadside trucks)
, and tools.
- You may also assist in major overhauls
- Diesel Mechanic's are responsible for providing their tools to complete the outlined job duties
- Candidates with a current CDL will earn an additional $1 per hour for this position. Candidates without a CDL will be given 90 days to obtain their CDL,
with training and reimbursement provided by INDOT,
