    JOB SUMMARY:

    Reporting to the Director of Strategic Administration, the summer intern will support multiple departments across Spoonfuls. The candidate should possess strong organizational skills, a desire to learn new systems and processes, a willingness to research and confidently bring information to the table, and an ability to transfer between departments and projects comfortably.


    RESPONSIBILITIES:


    Data Clean up, Entry and Analysis

    • Assist the Development and Admin teams with data clean up in Spoonfuls' CRM, Salesforce, including contact de-duping, record clean up, and report-building
    • Assist the Admin teams with cleaning up and reorganizing Google Drive, our organization's file storage platform
    • Assist with cleaning data related to beneficiary and other partner contacts


    Programmatic Support

    • Assist the Food Acquisition Manager with administrative support related to food acquisition mapping and researching, including building out maps of current and potential service areas and need
    • Assist the Beneficiary Manager with administrative support related to our Beneficiary Demographic Survey, conducted annually
    • Assisting with Food recovery on days when staff is light or routes are heavy


    Administrative Team Support

    • Help to build out a recruitment and outreach database and program for Spoonfuls, including possible expansion regions as well as currently served regions
    • Assist the Strategic Administration team with finding opportunities for mission-related All-Staff events and trainings
    • Assist, as needed, with other research needs to inform expansion databases, including: food recovery and food insecurity stats in other New England states; retail, wholesale, and farm prospects in New England states, food waste policies in New England States.


    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Strong project management generalist: time management skills, organizational skills, and ability to work independently and in a detail-oriented manner
    • Must have experience with and comfort using G-Suite; strong preference for someone who has worked with ArcGIS mapping in some capacity
    • Must be able to write well, read and absorb information well, synthesize information quickly
    • Must be able to keep organized, and be willing to take time to learn new systems and platforms as needed
    • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a hybrid work environment and manage time and effort effectively
    • Experience around confidential information, and demonstrated ability using sound judgment and discretion
    • Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization
    • Reliable personal transportation to access our headquarters (in Newton, Massachusetts)
    • A commitment to, and familiarity with, food and/or environmental justice issues preferred
