    Description
    Summary
    • To act as the liaison between Engineering, Operations, and Quality
    • To provide engineering support by troubleshooting manufacturing process and machining issues and implementing timely solutions in order to maintain the continuity of production flow
    • To monitor and debug new methods, equipment and procedures to ensure total system efficiencies
    Major Duties
    • Provides constant communication between Engineering, Operations, and Quality
    • Supports Operations by providing technical support and engineering data
    • Support Engineering by providing feedback, data and other information needed to process parts
    • Reviews and recommends improvements to manufacturing processes
    • Identifies need for established work procedure and standardized method
    • Documents and communicates work procedure and standardized methods as needed
    • Identifies need for training and communicates need to appropriate manager
    • Assist quality and manufacturing personnel in resolution of process issues and product non-conformances
    • Review print and purchase order requirements to determine manufacturing needs as requested by management
    • Creates designs for manufacturing, fixtures, and gages
    Other Tasks
    • Performs other tasks as required.
    Required Education
    • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    Required Experience
    • 3+ years of relevant work experience in CNC machining / manufacturing (8+ years if no degree in related field)
    • Knowledge and understanding of quality instruments and how to use them
    • Experience with business side of operation (quoting, customer relations, production planning, etc.)
    Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc.
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Ability to securely organize and document data.
    • Ability to communicate with internally / externally written and verbal
    Preferred additional Education and / or Experience
    • Experience in project management
    • Experience setting up CNC equipment and writing programs
    • Experience in leadership / supervisory position
    • Experience utilizing CAD/CAM software
    • Experience training CNC machining to others
