    Job Summary:

    The Electrical Quality Control Manager oversees the quality assurance processes for electrical systems, components, and installations in an industrial setting.

    This position involves managing a team of quality control inspectors and collaborating with various departments to maintain high standards of electrical quality throughout all stages of production and installation.

    • Key Responsibilities:
      • Develop, implement, and manage the electrical quality control plans, policies, and procedures.
      • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to electrical quality.
      • Lead and manage a team of electrical quality control inspectors, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
    • Compliance & Standards:
      • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international electrical codes (e.g., NEC, IEC), industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
      • Stay informed about changes in electrical codes, standards, and regulations, ensuring the company remains compliant.
      • Oversee the quality control aspects of all electrical systems from design to installation to ensure they meet safety and quality specifications.
    • Inspection & Testing:
      • Oversee the inspection and testing of electrical systems, components, and installations using appropriate testing tools and equipment.
      • Approve and sign off on all critical electrical inspections and tests.
      • Conduct audits and inspections to verify adherence to quality control protocols and identify areas for improvement.
    • Documentation & Reporting:
      • Prepare detailed reports on quality control activities, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
      • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for quality assurance processes and regulatory compliance.
      • Review and analyze quality data to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
    • Collaboration & Communication:
      • Work closely with electrical engineers, production teams, and project managers to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
      • Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure that the quality of electrical materials and components meets required standards.
      • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits related to electrical quality control.
    • Problem-Solving & Continuous Improvement:
      • Investigate and resolve electrical quality issues, working closely with the engineering and production teams to implement corrective actions.
      • Identify root causes of recurring quality problems and develop preventative measures.
      • Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in electrical quality control processes.
    • Training & Development:
      • Provide training and mentoring to quality control staff on electrical standards, inspection techniques, and safety protocols.
      • Ensure that all staff are up to date on industry best practices, quality standards, and safety regulations.

    Qualifications:

      • High School Diploma or Equivalent
      • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in electrical quality control, quality assurance, or electrical engineering within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
      • Minimum of 5 years in a managerial or leadership role overseeing quality control processes.
      • Experience working with industrial electrical systems and complex installations.
      • Electrical certification Journeyman.
      • Quality Management certification.
      • In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
      • Strong analytical skills and experience with quality management systems (QMS).
      • Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop staff.
      • Proficiency with electrical testing equipment and software used for quality management.
      • Excellent communication and report writing skills.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality control software tools.

    Work Environment:

      • Primarily works in an industrial environment (manufacturing plant, construction site, etc.).
      • Occasional travel may be required to inspect off-site installations or vendor facilities.
      • Must be able to work in both office settings and on-site in areas that may require personal protective equipment (PPE).

    Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year
