    • Glenside, PAThe Department of Public Health at Arcadia University is seeking applications for the role of Part time Program Support Specialist.
    This position is a part-time (19.5 hours a week), 9-months (September - May). This will require some flexibility of schedule for special events at times.

    Programs offered within the Department include a BSPH with a concentration in Global Health, an undergraduate minor in Global Public Health, MPH in Community Health, and MPH dual degrees with the Physician Assistant, Physical Therapy, International Peace and Conflict Resolution, and Counseling programs.

    All programs are currently accredited by CEPH. The role pertains to assisting with the Undergraduate Public Health Program.

    Arcadia's College of Health Sciences (CHS) houses the University's Public Health, Health Education, Medical Science (Physician Assistant Studies), and Physical Therapy programs.

    Through evidence-based practice and project-based learning, these programs prepare health care professionals for success in a rapidly changing global environment with applied and pro bono clinical thesis work, clinical rotations, international fieldwork, and multicultural assessment.

    *Essential Functions:
    Provides support for the BSPH program in the department of Public Health to ensure effective and efficient operations of an academic undergraduate program. Specific duties include, but are not limited to, facilitating evaluation procedures, assistance with student engagement, data management, communication, departmental functions, recruitment, advertising, maintaining social networking sites, academic program accreditation functions, and establishing and managing collaborative networks.

    Minimum Requirements:


    HS graduate, BA/BS preferred 2 years of equivalent combination of education and experience requiredRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:*** Strong database management, computer and database/software skills, oral/written communication, organizational skills, customer service orientation and student-centered approach required.
    • Some background knowledge of public health will be considered highly desirable.
    • Must be able to work daytime (and occasionally weekend and evenings) hours agreed upon with the Program Director. Required attendance at open house or other events.
    • Ability to work independently and effectively communicate with undergraduate students is required.
