- Applies fundamental actuarial principles in analyzing company and industry data to prepare actuarial analyses in accordance with the "SOA code of Professional Conduct" and the Actuarial Standards of Practice
- Work with MS Excel, MS Access, BPC, and Moody's AXIS to ensure timely and accurate reporting of reserves and analysis of reserve trends
- Perform analysis to fulfill requests from auditors
- Will also work with a smaller closed block of variable annuities.
- Completes processes to perform and document actuarial analyses promptly and accurately
- Begins to assist less experienced analysts with spreadsheets, databases, and sources of data used in actuarial analyses
- Prepares for and progresses in the SOA examinations through on-the-job and home study
- A bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field with a strong mathematical background is required
- 2 or more actuarial exams, passed
- 1 or more years of actuarial experience

Job PostingWe are seeking an Actuarial Analyst II, to join our Annuities Valuation team. This position is available in League City, TX and/or Galveston, TX.
