    Posting Summary

    Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a IT Support Specialist for the Division of Enrollment Management.

    Among the key duties of the position are the following:
  • Assists with providing staff desktop application/hardware support as needed to staff, working with System Administration and Unit Computing staff.
  • Provides general desktop application assistance to staff as necessary.
  • Assists Enrollment Management staff with presentation and meeting setups on New Brunswick campus (e.g., video conferencing, teleconferences, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Assists in the setup and configuration of mobile devices (e.g. iPads, smartphones, etc).
  • Installs, configures, upgrades, and troubleshoots PCs (hardware/software) and other hardware such as iPads, printers, scanners, and projectors as needed.
  • Provides general assistance to full-time IT staff.
  • Develops, enhances, and improves Enrollment Management web pages and applications.
  • Assists with graphical design and layout of pages in accordance with university design standards.
  • Assists full-time IT staff in researching new products, technologies, web development methods, and approaches to web development challenges.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Certifications/Licenses
  • A valid driver's license would be required for this position; Use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands.
  • Preferred Qualifications Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, customer-service oriented approach.
  • Must be self motivated and reliable.
  • Experience with desktop applications such as Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11, MacOS, iOS, and general PC.
  • Hardware/software installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting skills.
