    Job Summary:
    Akima Systems Engineering has an open position for a Systems Analyst supporting the U.S.

    Coast Guard Force Readiness Command (USCG FORCECOM) in Norfolk, VA.USCG FORCECOM requires expertise and support in the development, customization, and training of SharePoint and Microsoft 365 solutions for their Assessments Division (FC-A).

    This includes assistances with designing, implementing, and maintaining SharePoint sites, workflows, and applications to support CG mission and business processes.


    ResponsibilitiesJob Responsibilities:
    Design and develop customized SharePoint solutions that meet CG requirements and objectives.

    Provide training and support to CG personnel on the use of SharePoint solutions, ensuring proficiency and adherence to security protocols.

    Document SharePoint configurations, customizations, and best practices to facilitate knowledge transfer and continuity of operations.
    Implement security protocols and measures to protect SharePoint data and systems from unauthorized access or misuse.
    Collaborate with Coast Guard stakeholders to continuously improve SharePoint functionality, usability, and security.


    SharePoint Development:
    Design and develop SharePoint solutions tailored to meet CG requirements and objectives.

    This includes creating custom SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, workflows, and web parts to streamline business processes and improve collaboration and information sharing within the organization.


    Customization and Integration:
    Customize SharePoint functionality and user interfaces to align with CG branding guidelines and user preferences. Integrate SharePoint with other systems and tools used by the FC-A to enhance interoperability and data exchange.


    Training and User Support:
    Provide training and technical support to CG personnel on the use of SharePoint solutions.

    Develop training materials, conduct training sessions, and offer ongoing assistance to ensure users are proficient in SharePoint usage and best practices.


    Documentation and Knowledge Management:
    Document SharePoint configurations, customizations, and best practices to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure continuity of operations. Maintain up-to-date documentation and provide guidance on SharePoint governance and administration.


    Compliance Monitoring:
    Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with security protocols and regulations governing the handling of sensitive information, including adherence to background clearance requirements

    QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
    At least an Associate degree in the related area of work.
    At least four (4) years of experience with Microsoft SharePoint solutions.

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills are considered necessary, as candidate will regularly meet with military personnel involved in plans, policy, training management, and readiness assessment.

    Effective collaboration and communication skills.
    Strong knowledge, understanding, and experience with Microsoft SharePoint.
    Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Excel application.
    Experience with Microsoft Office tools and applications.
    Ability to problem solve and identify, implement and/or monitor alternative solutions.
    Ability to understand, interpret, and apply requirements applicable to the scope of work.
    Strong organizational, time management, and meeting facilitation skills.
