    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Administrator, Server/Systems role is responsible for complete management of the hardware, operating system, and non-application services of Universal Parks and Resorts Global Datacenter Services infrastructure.

    This role supports maximizing server availability, hardware and operating system configuration, performance reporting and tuning, capacity management, problem resolution, and testing.

    This includes solution formulation, implementation, documentation, and follow-up.
    The Administrator, Server/Systems role requires attention to detail and 247 support availability by participating in an on-call rotation schedule.


    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Manages and maintains global data center system's hardware and operating system configurations.
    Meet NBCUNI compliance standards by performing patching, backups, and vulnerability remediation.

    Manages and maintains core system applications:
    messaging, virtualization, business continuity, and data protection.
    Provides problem resolution and acts as a subject matter expert to the business.

    (Daily, 247)Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.

    Performs other duties as assigned.


    EDUCATION:
    Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology


    EXPERIENCE:

    • 5 years of Systems Administration experience preferred in the following areasManaging virtual server systems in an enterprise environmentManaging automation tools in an enterprise environmentVMware platformCompute technologiesStorage technologiesor equivalent combination of education and experience

    CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
    VMware VCP, Redhat RHCSA or RHCE, are preferred


    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    This position may require travel to other NBCUniversal parks and properties on occasion.
