    05/24/2024Plan, direct, or coordinate the operations of public or private sector organizations. Duties and responsibilities include formulating policies, managing daily operations, and planning the use of materials and human resources, but are too diverse and general in nature to be classified in any one functional area of management or administration, such as personnel, purchasing, or administrative services.

    Essential Duties:
    • Maintain a Colorado Driver's license and maintain eligibility to be covered under the district's self-insurance pool.
    • Effectively schedule and coordinate all facets of building finishes and cleanliness.
    • Effectively manage assigned budget.
    • Effectively manage recruiting, hiring, training and compliance with district standards.
    • Proactively and continuously evaluate facility use, finishes, cleanliness and environmental safety of buildings district wide.
    • Oversees sustainability practices district wide.
    • Schedule and coordinate various maintenance and capital reserve projects.
    • Provides leadership facility use, finishes, custodial programs and environmental services so as to enhance the effectiveness of schools and thereby, the performance of students.
    • Supervises and evaluates painters and custodial staff in order to promote their professional growth and improvement skills, as well as improve custodial programs and services.
    • Demonstrates the personal and professional growth necessary for continuous improvement of facility use, building finishes, building cleanliness, environmental services, and sustainability programs to schools and students.
    • Collaborates with other staff to support facility use, building finishes, building cleanliness, environmental services, and sustainability programs goals and priorities.
    Education:
    • Bachelor degree preferred but not required
    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Two years post-secondary or trade equivalent education desirable
    Experience:
    • Minimum of five years leadership experience in building and site maintenance, K-12 a plus
    • Two years' experience in construction or maintenance scheduling
    • One year maintenance or construction cost estimating
    Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:
    • Oral and written communication skills; English language skills
    • Interpersonal relations skills; Customer service and public relations skills; Ability to diffuse and manage volatile and stressful situations
    • Personal computer and keyboarding skills; Advanced computer hardware and software skills; Operating knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Officeand Google
    • Operating knowledge of and experience with general office equipment, including telephones, copier, fax machine, etc.;
    • Knowledge of operating, installing, supporting and maintaining PCs and associated application software preferred at hire.
    • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
    • Bilingual oral and written communication skills preferred
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions; Ability to manage multiple priorities
    • Speaks to students, parents, colleagues, and community with respect and dignity.
    • Uses team concepts to plan, problem solves, and share space, equipment, resources, and knowledge with coworkers; supports the ideas, efforts, and accomplishments of others.
    • Recognizes opportunities for improvement and/or implements improved methods within the limits of authority; adapts to changes in responsibilities and work schedule with a positive attitude.
    • Dresses appropriately for work requirements.
    • Maintains consistent, regular attendance at work; arrives and leaves work at scheduled times; respects time limits on breaks and lunch periods; and follows district procedures for absence reporting.
    • Promotes and follows Board of Education policies, building or department procedures, and any other rules and regulations as may be established by central, building, or department administration
    Minimum starting salary of $78,642 per year. Additional compensation will be considered for direct experience.
    253 day contract starts July 1, 2024.
