    Job Summary:
    Our client in Troy, MI is looking for a Manufacturing System Engineer. This is a Contract position.
    We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient Manufacturing System Engineer specializing in ERP
    • MES/QMS deployment to join our startup team.
    This role is pivotal in driving the success of a greenfield deployment, specifically in launching new automotive vehicle projects as part of the manufacturing engineering organization.

    The Manufacturing System Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless integration of NetSuite Oracle ERP software and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Quality Management System (QMS) solutions.

    This position will be fully supported by Project Management and implementation vendor services, and the engineer will lead the successful deployment of the ERP for manufacturing, followed by the manufacturing MES system.

    Prioritize safety above all to protect our team members, partners, and customers.

    Conduct a comprehensive analysis of the organization's existing business processes, goals, and requirements specifically for manufacturing ERP, MES, and QMS systems specific to launching new automotive vehicle projects.

    Collaborate closely with various business stakeholders to gather and document detailed technical requirements specifically for manufacturing ERP, MES, and QMS system solutions.

    Confirm configuration to meet identified technical requirements, minimizing customization of the manufacturing ERP, MES, and QMS systems.
    Support manufacturing MES and QMS selection and configuration.

    Oversee the development and execution of a detailed project plan managed by a dedicated project manager for the manufacturing ERP, MES, and QMS deployments.

    Act as a liaison between business leaders, IT teams, and external vendors to facilitate effective technical communication and alignment throughout the deployment process.

    Develop and implement change management strategies for the manufacturing ERP, MES, and QMS system adoption from a technical perspective, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.

    Oversee the design and delivery of technical training programs to ensure all users are proficient in using the manufacturing ERP, MES, and QMS tools effectively.

    Oversee and participate in technical data migration activities for the manufacturing ERP, MES, and QMS systems.
    Coordinate and oversee comprehensive technical testing and quality assurance processes for the manufacturing ERP, MES, and QMS systems.
    Monitor system performance post-implementation from a technical standpoint, gather technical feedback, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization.

    Identify potential technical risks and challenges associated with the manufacturing ERP, MES, and QMS deployment and develop technical strategies to mitigate them.

    Design, recommend, and execute ongoing technical support for the manufacturing ERP, MES, and QMS users, addressing any technical issues or enhancements required.

    Define and track key technical performance metrics to measure the impact of the manufacturing ERP, MES, and QMS systems on operational efficiency and overall success.

    Orchestrate the development and maintenance of technical documentation regarding system configurations for the manufacturing ERP, MES, and QMS.


    Qualifications:
    Minimum of 8 years working with Manufacturing OEM or 1st Tier Supplier as a manufacturing ERP, MES-QMS Engineer with experience in deployment, upgrades, and business support

    Business Acumen:
    Experience in developing a deep understanding of an organization's business processes, goals, and industry-specific challenges.
    Proficiency in manufacturing ERP and MES-QMS systems, including a comprehensive understanding of their functionalities, capabilities, and integration points.
    Strong project management skills to plan, execute, and oversee the selection, design, and deployment of ERP and MES-QMS systems.
    Ability to gather and analyze technical requirements, translating them into technical specifications for system selection and design.
    Expertise in manufacturing system integration strategies and techniques to ensure seamless data flow between the ERP and MES-QMS systems.
    Proficiency in change management methodologies to guide the organization through the adoption of new systems.


    Vendor Evaluation and Selection:
    Knowledge of vendor evaluation criteria and the ability to assess and select suitable manufacturing ERP and MES-QMS vendors.
    Familiarity with relevant technologies, databases, and PLC programming languages used in manufacturing ERP and MES-QMS systems.
    Understanding of data governance, data quality, and data migration best practices.
    Proficiency in technical quality assurance processes for both ERP and MES-QMS systems.
    Ability to develop technical training materials and provide ongoing technical support to users.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills during system selection, deployment, and post-implementation phases.
    Capacity to align ERP and MES-QMS strategies with the organization's long-term goals.
    Excellent interpersonal and technical communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors.
    Proficiency in identifying potential technical risks and developing technical mitigation strategies.
    Ability to maintain comprehensive technical documentation of system configurations, processes, and best practices.
    Startup and Oracle's NetSuite experience is preferred.
