Industrial Electrician
*Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced industrial electrician adept at installing and repairing electrical systems, including but not limited to 480 Vac, 120 Vac, and 24 Vdc.
The role involves reading and interpreting technical drawings and diagrams, ensuring compliance with current NEC code, and performing all work according to electrical codes, blueprints, and standards.
The successful candidate will troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems, make timely repairs, and be skilled in installing rigid and EMT conduit and cable tray.
An understanding of electrical meters and testing equipment is necessary. The role requires working from heights in boom and scissors lifts and installing ethernet and fiber circuits.The ideal candidate should work well individually and as part of a team, communicate effectively with others, and contribute positively to working relationships within the organization.
The role also involves compliance with environmental policies and procedures including energy efficiency, reduce - re-use - recycle goals, reporting requirements, and sustainable initiatives.

This is a fully on-site position in AMES, Iowa.Work Environment
The facility operates 24/7, and the team is responsible for all PM and shutdown work. The maintenance technicians are supervised by a maintenance manager and a maintenance supervisor. The team consists of about 30 people and is expected to expand with the growth of the facility.
The work shift is 7a - 3p, although initial training will take place during the day shift for a couple of months.
The dress code includes jeans and steel-toed boots. Personal protective equipment like hair and beard nets will be provided. As the facility operates under GMP, no jewelry or piercings are allowed. The work environment typically involves temperatures of 85+ degrees with 85% humidity in most areas. Candidates must be comfortable with working from heights.About Aerotek:
