- Ability to use the nursing process to provide patient care, including administering medications and treatments in compliance with physician orders and hospital policies, interpreting diagnostic tests, formulating a care plan, collaborating with other healthcare providers, and educating patients and their families (in compliance with HIPAA). \t
- Must have the knowledge and skills to provide care for patients of all age groups and understand the principles of growth and development across the lifespan. \t
- Accurate documentation and charting of observations and patient care activities. \t
- Effective communication and reporting to appropriate healthcare personnel in accordance with hospital policy. \t
- Completion of all required and related duties.
- Ability to lift, reposition patients, and move equipment and supplies as needed. \t
- Bending and maneuvering throughout the facility may be required. \t
- Visual and auditory skills for interpreting environmental cues. \t
- In emergency situations, the ability to evacuate the building and potentially perform heavy lifting of patients.
