    The Senior Manager, Data Analyst, is responsible for monitoring and reporting the performance of manufacturing and business systems at the Devens Cell Therapy Facility (CTF).

    The individual will closely partner with the Operational Excellence team and other various site functions to ensure appropriate actions are taken to proactively improve the overall performance of the site.

    The individual will leverage a continuous improvement mindset to simplify and strengthen how metrics are gathered and reported out within the site governance structure.

    The analyst will also collaborate with analytical functions from the site and above site teams to improve alignment and drive platform consistency.

    A successful candidate has a fundamental understanding of regulated manufacturing and will utilize data analytics concepts to identify trends in site performance.

    The analysis will enable to site to proactively address risks which may prevent the site from attaining annual and long-term goals.

    The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing for a mixture of numerical and key-word based analysis across various platforms.

    This role is also responsible for the preparation, coordination, and post-meeting activities associated with Site Performance Metrics, in support routine forums for a wide variation of audiences.

    Given the dynamic nature of cell therapy, this role requires an individual who can provide structure while quickly adapting to change while continuing to move forward.

    This role reports to the Senior Director, Strategy and Business Operations.
    Job Responsibilities

    • Owner of the trending and monitoring program for manufacturing and business process performance at the Devens Cell Therapy Facility.
    • Represent Devens in network collaborations and contribute to network data analytics changes as the site representative.
    • Provide support site strategy and continuous improvement processes.
    • Serve as Subject Matter Expert in utilization and customization of metric reporting across various data sources available.
    • Perform routine (daily/weekly) system monitoring to ensure site performance on track with expectations.
    • Perform near real-time analysis for performance metric trending to proactively identify potential risks or opportunities.
    • Engage stakeholders once potential or confirmed trends are identified and drive appropriate resolution.
    • Perform formal quarterly trend report summarizing themes and trends for the site performance. Review and report results to a wide variety of stakeholders including senior site leadership.
    • Develop, compile, and report weekly/monthly/quarterly Key Performance Indicator metrics for site manufacturing and business process performance.
    • Compile, evaluate and suggest improved metrics for tier meetings and various site performance review meetings
    • Present key findings and make program recommendations to a wide variety of stakeholders including senior site and quality leadership.
    • Drive action plans for recovery of performance when negatively trending and actively identifying areas for improvement to avoid negative trends.
    • Improve visual management of key performance indicators in alignment with the needs of stakeholders
    • Develop end user tools and visual management systems (e.g., dashboards, flash reports, etc) for end users to clearly communicate site performance.
    Qualifications and Education Requirements

    • Strong analytics and trending capability, preferably with automated data sources
    • Ability to work independently to meet objectives and perform with a high degree of accuracy
    • Experience with Six Sigma or similar defect rate analysis is desired
    • Ability to create detailed project plans through strategic objectives
    • Understanding of project management and experience influencing others
    • Demonstrated ability to take complex concepts and communicate to a cross-functional group in simple terms
    • Experience with a changing work environment
    • Strong sense of urgency in addition to the ability to prioritize
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, have action-oriented approach
    • Passion for continuous improvement
    • Detail oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Education and Experience:
    • B.S. degree required. Preferably in engineering, life sciences, scientific, data analytics, business, or technical field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
    Working Conditions

    This position is an office-based position that may require entry into laboratory/manufacturing spaces that requires appropriate levels of personal protective equipment (PPE).

    Office-based work requires sitting and repetitive use of arms/hands/wrists, especially when working with a computer.
