    Job Summary

    The Nuclear Medicine Technologist conducts radiologic procedures to provide data for patient diagnosis. Key responsibilities include operating x-ray equipment, explaining procedures to patients, positioning patients for imaging, administering contrast materials, and monitoring radiation safety.

    Responsibilities

    • Operate x-ray equipment to create radiographs of designated body areas
    • Perform x-ray therapy under the supervision of a Radiologist
    • Position patients using immobilization devices and explain procedures to ensure patient comfort and understanding
    • Administer barium salts or other chemical mixtures as needed
    • Monitor, record, and communicate patient information using computerized documentation systems

    Requirements

    • ARRT NMT Certification or NMT Certification
    • Current FL state licensure (Dept. of Health)
    • BLS Healthcare Provider
