    POSITION SUMMARY

    TTC Tour Brands is seeking a temporary senior design & production manager to cover a team member's Maternity leave running from May 10 through up to 18 months or upon the employee's return from Maternity leave. This is a hybrid role with the expectation of being in the Cypress, CA office 2-3 days per week.

    The Senior Design & Production Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the design and production of all creative assets generated by the North American Marketing department, ensuring resources, tools, briefs, etc. are in place to provide high-quality creative solutions for business objectives. Responsibilities involve maintaining schedules, managing workflows, ensuring precise execution of designs across different mediums, tracking information, creating delivery schedules, and addressing potential issues that may impact work schedules or business objectives. This position involves close collaboration with the briefing and leadership teams to monitor project statuses, anticipate delays, establish priorities, and optimize schedules.

    This person will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and effective communication abilities. This role requires a creative individual who comprehends the intricacies of design and production tasks at both the execution and management levels. The Senior Design & Production Manager will have proficiency in handling multiple projects and ensuring operational efficiency across a wide variety of content created for multiple brands. Additionally, the Senior Design & Production Manager will create and develop marketing assets for various audiences, including, but not limited to B2B, B2B2C, and B2C. They will be accountable for visual communication best practices as well as provide art direction, technical assessment, and creative nurturing to their direct Graphic Designer reports, the wider creative team, and the marketing department as a whole.

    Requirements:

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for the entire production flow of the department.
    • Responsible for assigning design team members to each task and project, generating opportunities within the team while ensuring creative and technical proficiencies are met.
    • Work directly with the SVP of Marketing and Communications and Creative Director to identify any resource restraints, training, coaching, or requirements to keep the department balance healthy.
    • Address and resolve cross-department conflicts in the schedule and alert upper management of any delays.
    • Responsible for managing expenses and subscriptions of any necessary tools for the department to use.
    • Leverage the Project Management System, ) to create efficiencies and workflows to optimize the production process for all marketing activities.
    • Manage the production schedule and fulfillment of print campaigns, including an annual Brendan Vacations brand brochure, brand direct mail pieces, posters, event banners, ads, and business cards.
    • Track the overall progress of the production schedule and communicate availability, team roadblocks, and resource management.
    • Work closely with the wider marketing team to ensure project briefs and requests are properly fulfilled promptly and any relevant assets are received accurately. Identify and provide training on the creation of project briefs where gaps are found.
    • Deliver assets to third parties such as trade media, advertising media vendors, and other affiliates on behalf of the marketing team, where relevant.
    • Responsible for the creative and accurate application of brand guidelines developed by the global team in regional (at times, global) creative solutions.
    • Project support across multiple departments, while acting as the liaison with other regions for design and development of asset sharing and systems training.
    • Create a variety of marketing materials including, but not limited to, printed materials, web banners, online content, landing pages, social media, email campaigns, and PPT presentations.
    • Think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics, and layouts.
    • Showcase exemplary creative skills in creative solutions, with a high understanding of what good typography color management, and composition look like.
    • Asset management of images, music, and video, ensuring assets adhere to licenses, and quality standards and meet the needs of the marketing department, procuring new assets where necessary.
    • Highly skilled in image sourcing, photo editing, color correction, and image manipulation.
    • Ability to balance assessment of creative solutions for quality and accuracy, as well as creative application of project intentions.
    • Must have a can-do attitude, and an eagerness to learn new techniques.
    • Desire to foster new thinking within the department, providing solutions when inefficiencies with production or creativity are identified.
    • Strong work ethic and organization/time management skills.
    • Strong communicator who can be clear and concise, always ready to explain 'the why' behind decisions, process shifts, creative decisions, etc., and not be shy to deliver critical feedback when necessary.
    • Responsible for upload, management, and archiving of assets in CMS systems for the Brendan Vacations brand.
    • Keep up-to-date with trends in graphic design and development techniques and software
    • Grow and develop direct reports; hold continuous and frequent touch sessions to ensure they are engaged creatively, their workload is manageable and tools are provided for their success. Hold monthly 1:1 sessions to focus on growth and professional development and bi-annual check-ins to track performance regularly.

    COMPETENCIES

    • Efficient in the understanding, application, and management of creative and production schedules, with a proven ability to drive for results in a fast-paced environment. Strong in using PMS or a similar system
    • Demonstrable, high-level graphic design experience and skills, possession of a strong portfolio with experience in digital, motion, and video a significant plus
    • Possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality
    • Excellent organizational, presentation, and writing skills
    • Ability to interact, communicate, and present ideas
    • Up to date with industry-leading software and technologies
    • Professionalism regarding time, costs, and deadlines
    • High-level understanding of marketing principles and how they affect creative processes

    EXPERIENCE

    • 5+ years' experience in design management and production

    TECHNICAL SKILLS

    • Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, notably InDesign, Photoshop, XD, Illustrator, and Acrobat, with experience using Premiere Pro and After Effects desired.
    • Familiar with setting up and exporting files for various formats across print, digital, and social formats such as in-feed, stories, Pmax, and Google DV 360
    • Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
    • Internet proficiency (HTML preferred)
    • Experience managing PMS and CMS systems

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

    • Infrequent travel is required
