    Responsibilities:

    • Process and submit insurance claims to various health insurance companies.
    • Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for treatment.
    • Manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely payment of outstanding claims.
    • Address and resolve billing inquiries from both insurance companies and patients.
    • Perform regular audits to ensure billing accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
    • Collaborate with clinical staff to verify treatment codes and secure all necessary documentation for billing.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing software, insurance guidelines, and coding updates.
    • Prepare and present reports on billing activities and financial performance as required.

    Requirements

    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing, preferably within a mental health or healthcare setting.
    • Proficiency in billing software and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
    • Strong understanding of ICD-10 and CPT coding, as well as insurance guidelines and regulations related to mental health services.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
