    Description
    1. With assistance from "A" operator perform all of the following duties.
    2. Set up and operate stationary and portable spot welding machines.
    3. Uses special attachments as determined by the types of materials and parts to be welded.
    4. Determines and sets proper pressure, power stroke, welding current and timing cycle.
    5. Operates tensile testing equipment and records results
    6. Certified spot welding machines
    7. Must be able to perform other duties as required
    Employee is expected to follow all safety regulations, keep work area in a clean and orderly condition, and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required for the assigned work area(s). Performs safety related duties as assigned.

    Candidate skills & requirements
    High School diploma or equivalent required.
    • One to three years of related experience required - equivalent education and background may be substituted for experience in some areas.
    • Requires a thorough understanding of shop practices and procedures.
    • Must be able to read and interpret average to complex blueprints, drawings, diagrams, tolerance information, route sheets, work orders, safety guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
    • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
    • Employee must be able to obtain and maintain all required certifications and licenses.
