    Position:
    Accounting Assistant

    Schedule:
    Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm


    Location:
    Honolulu


    Payrate:
    $20/hour


    Job Summary of Accounting Clerk:
    Accounting Assistants are organized and efficient, with an eye for detail and a high level of accuracy.

    Accounting Assistants can expect to handle communications with vendors, clients, internal departments, assist with inventory, database, and record maintenance, prepare financial reports, issue checks, make deposits, and generally ensure that the office operations are running smoothly.

    You should be professional and courteous with strong computer skills and a thorough understanding of accounting and financial principles.


    Job Duties and Responsibilities of

    Accounting Assistant:

    • Monitor emails for invoices and inquiries.
    • Prepare bank deposits, including physical bank deposits when necessary.
    • Prepare & process credit card payments.
    • Accountants' payable duties
    • Perform customer account reconciliations – research and resolve issues.
    • Execute billing, collection, and reporting activities according to deadlines.
    • Perform customer payment applications in computer system.
    • Monitor customer accounts and aging reports. Distribute aging reports to appropriate persons.
    • Collect receivables within the stipulated time frame, investigate circumstances of non-payment, resolve conflicts with customer accounts and apprise
    • Management of delinquencies.
    • Communicate and respond to vendor, customer, and internal inquiries.
    • Reconcile vendor and customer statements - research and correct discrepancies.
    • Generate ACH collections.
    • Generate, distribute, and mail customer statements.
    • Prepare employee food deduction report for bi-weekly payroll.

    Qualifications of

    Accounting Assistant:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. We are looking for someone with bookkeeping, payroll, and accounts payable experience.
