With continuous growth at CenExel CNS, we are looking to fill our vacant Mental Health Worker position. We would love to speak to you if you:

1. A bachelor's degree, Medical Assistant certification, or Nursing Assistant certification may be substituted for education and/or experience
2. 1-2 years experience working with mentally ill patients is strongly preferred
3. One year working in a medical setting

As a Mental Health Worker, you will provide direct Patient care to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of the Patients through direct and indirect physical and verbal interaction. Duties are performed under the direction and supervision of the Mental Health Supervisor.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Promote and assist patients with self-help skills in the areas of eating, hygiene and grooming, and other activities
• Monitor Patient's attendance at assigned activities and maximize patient participation through appropriate motivational techniques
• Conduct supervised outings as permitted by the study
• Accurately document in writing each Patient's activities on the round's sheets and file in the medical record
• Visually and audibly observe the Patient's physical and psychiatric conditions and report significant changes to the Charge Nurse
• Maintain a safe and clean environment throughout the unit
• Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures and unit processes
