    The Role
    The successful candidate will draw upon their experience to aid in the assembly and testing of gas turbine engines. Collaboration and a forward thinking approach are important to ensure we remain the supplier of choice for our customers. You will also be the face of Quest to your customers. Through listening to customer challenges, and building on your previous experiences, you will find creative approaches that will solve their most difficult engineering problems.

    Roles & Responsibilities:
    • Verify the assembly bill of material (BOM) and request hardware from stores and supplier.
    • Track all BOM hardware to ensure proper delivery and organization.
    • Coordinate with stores personnel to address any discrepancies.
    • Perform preliminary perfection reviews of hardware to include quantity verification, visual inspection, and marking verification.
    • Act as on-site engineering liaison to improve communication and cooperation between engineering, assembly & testing.
    • Works with suppliers, quality and engineering colleagues to meet assembly and testing targets.
    • As the shop engineering representative, drive a high rigor into the assembly and integration process and identify and drive support activities to ensure long term on-time test engine delivery.
    • Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of configuration management, part quality, part quantity and part shipping on time.
    • Have high levels of interaction with and exposure to engineers from multiple disciplines, manufacturing & quality, and regularly exposed to commodity and industry experts.
    • Direct interface with other internal/external engineering functions
    • Apply technical principles, theories, and concepts to solve a wide range of challenging engineering problems
    • Evaluate form, fit, function and life of the components relative to the certified configuration
    Required Skills

    We're excited to talk to you if your qualifications meet the following criteria:
    • 1-3 years of experience Gas-turbine or Turbo-machinery components assembly & testing
    • Minimum BS/B.Tech in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering from an accredited university
    • Experience with shop floor assembly and testing
    • Has familiarity of commonly-used configuration, data, and export control concepts, practices, and procedures
    • Ability to easily interpret technical drawings with understanding of GD&T
    • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, work under time constraints, maintain composure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Ability to interact with employees/managers at all levels with strong oral and written communication skills
    • Project Management experience is desired, but not required
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment

    • US Citizen or Permanent Resident required
    Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
    • Mostly Shop Floor involvement
    • Occasional amounts of telephone and computer work.
    • Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
    • Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
    • Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM
    • Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
