    Join Our Team as a Full-Time Day Weekend Registered Lead CT Tech at Cobb Hospital:

    The Registered Lead CT Tech at Cobb Hospital works weekends and ensures safe, age-appropriate care for patients. This role requires flexibility, dependability, and accountability. Perform a variety of technical procedures, mentor CT Techs, and oversee department operations.


    Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
    • Maintains modality workflow for efficient patient throughput and equipment utilization
    • Provides feedback on employee performance to Chief Tech
    • Manages department productivity and operational standards
    • Works on new protocol implementation
    • Ensures adequate supplies in the modality
    • Attends Lead Meetings and department meetings
    • Advocates for the Imaging Department
    • Addresses employee concerns
    • Participates in Process Improvement (PI)
    • Assists in hiring and onboarding new personnel
    • Participates in the competency process for CT technologists
    • Ensures department is survey-ready

    Equipment:

    Demonstrates techniques for low radiation doses and equipment maintenance

    Notifies supervisor of equipment issues and maintains cleanliness


    Patient Care:

    Verifies orders and patient information, maintains patient privacy and dignity

    Follows procedures and assists in emergency situations

    Conducts patient preparatory activities


    Education and Communication:

    Explains procedures to patients, provides preparatory instructions

    Participates in training and orientation

    Communicates effectively and maintains documentation


    Quality Control:

    Produces high-quality images, ensures equipment functionality, and completes studies promptly


    Operations:

    Maintains department cleanliness, assists patients, and performs charging activities

    Shares knowledge, performs routine duties, and keeps supervisor informed

    Operates workstations and maintains standards


    Required Minimum Education:
    Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiology Technology

    Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):
    All certifications required upon hire unless otherwise stated

    Required Minimum Experience:
    Minimum 2 years clinical experience, 1 year CT experience

    Required Minimum Skills:

    Excellent communication, ability to work independently and in teams

    Good customer service and time management skills, proficient in CT procedures and quality control
