    JOB SUMMARY:
    Provides administrative and clerical support to department to ensure effective and productive workflow. Participates in planning of programs, policies or objectives for own work group and department.

    Responsibilities


    • Oversee project requirements, implementation, project plans, priorities, and deadlines; Direct and coordinate activities to ensure goals/objectives are met.
    • Working with vendors to collect data for pavement condition/grading.
    • Evaluate project and team performance; Develop, write, and revise user training materials and procedures.
    • Generate management operational reports, progress reports, and financial reports.
    • Maintain the data within the Cartegraph OMS with material cost, vendors, contractors, equipment, crew labor, users, and inventory.
    • Performs research to determine lawful property owner and notify them of illegal use of county right-of-ways regarding illegal driveways.
    • Verifies proof of ownership through Fort Bend County Appraisal District or Fort Bend County Clerk's Office.
    • Verifies all minimum burial requirements from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality are met when a resident is requesting assistance with an animal burial.
    • Notifies proper agencies in regards to road closures, down road signs, barricade maintenance, malfunctioning traffic signals, and school zone lights.
    • Back-up for entering departmental payroll.
    • Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
    Qualifications


    • Associate's degree in General Studies or Business or 2 years of college credit or 2 years of direct job related experience.
    • 2 to 5 years job related experience.
    • Excellent computer and typing skills; minimum 35 WPM.
    • Strong organizational and math skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills including diplomacy and problem solving skills in order to interact with the public and department employees.

    SALARY RANGE:
    $ $24.63 hourly based on qualifications
