Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a critical care physician, dedicated to night shifts, to join the critical care team.Successful candidates will have excellent clinical skills, a broad knowledge base in critical care and provide high quality, evidence-based care.
All candidates must be BE/BC in critical care medicine. Previous experience in managing cardiac surgery patients is a plus, but not a requirement.The selected physician will have exposure to all aspects of the care of cardiac surgery patients, including mechanical devices, advanced heart failure patients, ECMO and transplant.
Memorial Healthcare Systems CVICU and Cardiac Surgery team have maintained the highest possible ranking for patient outcomes over the past ten years.
o 12-hour in-house shifts (7pm-7am), no responsibilities outside of in-house shiftso Approximately 15 shifts per month (more if desired)
This is a full-time employed position with the multi-specialty Memorial Physician Group. The position offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.
In addition to a large general cardiology practice, the Memorial Cardiac and Vascular Institute includes all relevant subspecialties including electrophysiology, preventative and interventional cardiology, vascular, congenital heart disease, imaging and genetics.
Joe DiMaggio Childrens Hospital, a 232-bed freestanding facility and part of the Memorial Healthcare System, has an established and highly recognized pediatric heart transplant program.
The MCVI performed the first adult heart transplant in Broward County and has an active VAD and Adult Heart Transplant program since 2014.
Memorial has the first accredited adult congenital heart program in the State of Florida and is the only ELSO Gold designated ECMO program in south Florida.
