    TRISTAR is seeking an HR Specialist (WFD)) for our government customer located in Odon, IN

    Position Description:

    • The HR Specialist (WFD) supports the Crane Division University - Career Services Center within the Workforce Development Branch
    • Support and seek to continuously improve the Career Services Center's program areas to include Coaching, Career Advising, Mentoring, Rotations, Employee Engagement, and Job Shadowing along with the Center's associated resources (i.e. Leadership Library, Career Path Guides, Transitional Planning, etc)
    • Will ideate monthly programming that supports the Center's mission and encourages employee engagement in support of Crane's succession planning and retention initiatives
    • Must maintain metrics on the effectiveness and participation rates of Career Services Center programs
    Position Responsibilities:
    • May also support External Leadership Programs, which requires soliciting applications for available programs and maintaining contact with participants to ensure successful completion of program requirements
    • May be requested to support other Crane Division University team efforts and contribute to the Branch's communications plan through submission of HR Newsletter monthly articles and collaboration with Corporate Communications for various event support requests (photography, videography, social media articles, graphics, etc.)
    Position Requirement:
    • Ideal candidate will:
      - Be very organized and detail oriented to manage multiple program areas (announcements, applications, status updates, etc)
      - Possess excellent oral and written communication skills to facilitate Career Services Center events
      - Be comfortable delivering presentations up to the Division Manager level (All Hands meetings, etc)
      - Display self-motivation/initiative
      - Have a marketing background and/or the ability to think creatively/"out of the box" to deliver new/innovative engagement events
      - Ability to work independently and successfully self-manage tasking
      - Understand the various mechanisms of marketing programs to the workforce and collaborate with Corporate Communications personnel to market programs using the various mechanisms (podcasts, social media posts, All Hands messaging, videos, etc.)
      - Knowledge of Microsoft forms to create and analyze surveys is beneficial, but could be taught upon selection
    • Must have comprehensive skills in Microsoft Office applications, (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
    • Must have analytical and decision making capabilities to identify best plans for employees
    • Professional communication skills
    • Ability to prepare and present program metrics to senior level staff
    • Experience with telework helpful, but not required
      Must be a US Citizen
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a T3 Clearance
    Education and Certification:
    • Bachelors Degree/and or 7 years of direct HR experience
