    Job Summary

    Birgo Capital is seeking a part-time, Pittsburgh-based intern to join our Asset Management department for 8-10 weeks this summer. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing the financial performance of our multi-family real estate portfolio. From acquisition strategies to disposition plans, you'll gain hands-on experience in every stage of the asset life cycle. This is an ideal opportunity for a business major focused in Finance or Accounting who has an interest in Real Estate Private Equity and Asset Management.     Responsibilities

    • Provide meaningful weekly variance analysis on income and expense items
    • Conduct market research and property comparables to understand performance optimization opportunities
    • Maintain property performance reporting and dashboards
    • Support the Acquisitions team by providing analysis on the underwriting of new deals
    • Maintain Real Estate Owned schedules and other recordkeeping
    • Assist in providing compliance reporting to lenders
    • Ad hoc financial analysis related to the individual properties or their Funds
    • Other projects as assigned to help Birgo improve lives through real estate

    Requirements

    • Must be enrolled in an accredited bachelor's degree program in an area of Business
    • Basic understanding of commercial real estate and financial analysis
    • Experience with larger projects that require multiple collaborators and detailed requirements
    • Strong user of Excel
    • Technological fluency and/or proficiency in Google Suite
    • Analytical and intellectually curious

    Pay & Perks

    • $18/hour
    • <20 hours per week; ~3 days/week
