**Summary** : Morris, Inc. is seeking a driven individual to supervise and coordinate activities of Mechanic Shop personnel by performing the duties including, but not limited to, those listed below. **Requirements** : * Valid SD drivers license required
Proficiency with computers and various software applications
Strong management, communication skills and process implementation experience
Physically capable of doing manual work and lifting up to 75 lbs
**Responsibilities:**
Responsible to keep equipment fleet, includes heavy equipment, trucks and automobiles, in good working order.
Responsible for working with Morris, Inc. Leadership Team to make asset replacement recommendations for all of the equipment fleet
Responsible for keeping a Mechanic shop, Tire shop and Warehouse/Small engine shop schedule current, includes prioritizing repairs with other departments, keep technicians on projects to completion and utilize external shops when necessary
Responsible for constant review and analysis of mechanic shop purchases and repair costs.
Develop and create budgets within Mechanic Shop Department to keep the shop running efficiently.
Establish Mechanic shop, Tire shop and Warehouse/Small engine shop goals and budgets. Knowing, planning and understanding costs and expenses for the department.
Responsible for reviewing work order process to maximize repair efficiency and costs.
Establish standards and policies for installation, modification, quality control, testing, operating, procedure, inspection and maintenance of equipment.
Responsible for keeping appropriate tooling, software and technician training up to date for equipment fleet
Assist office in processing paperwork and train employees on proper equipment use and maintenance.
Responsible for ensuring vehicles and trailers are kept up to date with DOT Regulations
Enforce Morris, Inc. maintenance policy; make any recommendations for improvements
Responsible to work with Morris, Inc. departments to offer maintenance training as requested.
Enforce safety regulations.
Upholding all crew members to all Morris, Inc. policies and utilizing disciplinary actions, if necessary.
Create a team environment with crew members
Responsible for supervising the winter repair work seasonal employees
Perform other duties as assigned.
