- Assists the Director of Adult Services in interviewing/hiring and onboarding new Sponsored Homes staff.
- Assist in the development of policies, procedures, training, and events for the Sponsored Homes program.
- Assist in problem-solving, conflict resolution, and de-escalation for direct reports and contractors, as needed.
- Ensure program compliance with Quality Improvement, Quality Assurance, and Risk Management initiatives.
- Serve as a liaison with licensing specialists, Community Resource Consultants, human rights staff, support coordinators, and other licensing/advisory entities.
- Assist the Quality Assurance Manager with human rights investigations, and root cause analyses, as needed.
- Assist in the development, monitoring, and adherence to program budget.
- Supervisory duties include 1:1 supervision meetings, completion of annual appraisals, conflict resolution, staff development, and training.
- Assists with special projects.
- All other duties assigned.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with standard office and clerical procedures, current office technology and computer programs/applications including Word, Excel, Power-Point, Adobe, and database utilization.
- Must be committed to learning about licensing standards, as well as the rights of the individuals we serve (including Home and Community Based Services standards/guidelines), how we strive to create a "life like ours", and what is means to treat adults with developmental disabilities with dignity and respect.
- Must be able to work cooperatively with others, develop positive working relationships.
- Effectively communicate written and verbally to a diverse range of people. To include adults with developmental disabilities, their families, contractors, and other service providers.
- Knowledge of best practices and techniques of residential programs for adults with developmental disabilities and support coordination services.
- Working knowledge of DBHDS licensing and human rights regulations and accreditation standards, supervisory techniques, effective skill building for adults with developmental disabilities across the life span, teamwork and motivational theory.
- Knowledge of leadership principles and team management strategies, conflict resolution and effective de-escalation techniques.
- Knowledge of budgeting and statistical reporting.
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field, strongly preferred.
- Some experience working in the field of developmental disabilities, strongly preferred.
- Experience in the operation of sponsored placement residential services, preferred.
- Prior Management experience required.
- Provide "TB Free" assessment.
- Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
- Complete, pass and maintain background checks and drug test.

The Sponsored Homes State Manager has responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Sponsored Home program. This position is responsible for providing training and supervisory oversight of the Sponsored Homes Program staff and ensuring that each licensed site is following all agency policies and procedures, licensing standards, and accreditation standards.
