    Description


    Dr Wilson's medical assistant
    1. Be available to assist the rovider in the delivery of care to patients in the clinic.
    2. Responsible to Clinic Manager
    3. Nature and Scope
      1. Call patients into rooms for examinations: Do weights, blood pressures, and temperatures including pulse, and respiration when needed. Review the patient's chart. Record and obtain patient's symptoms, make observations, listen, answer questions, and reassure. Obtain past medical history and family history as appropriate. Obtain or review medications the patient is currently taking and medication the patient is allergic to. Record all of the above information in the patient's chart and sign.
      2. Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with examinations as necessary. Lift patients on and off exam tables and into and out of wheelchairs.
      3. Transcribe charts for providers. Must have medical terminology and be able to type 50 wpm.
    Minimum Requirements

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Keep current BLS-C card.
    • Efficient in medical terminology
    • Type 50 wpm
