IT Program Manager Position Description Are you an experienced, highly successful IT program manager looking for a challenging leadership opportunity? Matlock, a leading IT managed services, software development and cybersecurity company is on the lookout for a talented and dedicated professional to join our team to manage a 100-person team in support of the U.S.

Department of State Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS) as our IT Program Manager. The government organization supports vital international operations.

We're looking for an individual who welcomes the challenges of successfully transitioning an existing IT contract to Matlock and evolving the customer's IT system to keep pace with a dynamic operational environment.

The customer's specific program management goals include:

• Ensuring alignment of activities with program goals and objectives, promoting operational efficiencies, avoiding schedule and resource collisions, and providing DS management visibility into ongoing efforts and resource usage
• Providing a central point of communication and issue management for critical production issues, planned and unplanned outages, and transition issues
• Developing project charters, plans, project timelines, and project schedules In meeting those goals our Program Manager will be responsible to ensure that program Service Level Agreements and other requirements are met, including:
• Implementing and coordinating project management policies, practices, and procedures
• Tracking and reporting designated metrics for the office and subordinate divisions
• Monitoring, reviewing, and assisting with project plan development within the office and subordinate divisions and

Top-Secret Clearance:
Applicants must possess an active Top Secret security clearance Years of Program Management Experience:

• Candidates must demonstrate a proven track record of at least 10 years of experience managing a computer science/technology or related field Information Technology (IT) program, overseeing 100 or more technical staff.
• Candidates must demonstrate a successful track record managing one or more long-term contracts

Education:

• Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in computer science, or similar technical field of endeavor. 4. Certifications/Other Credentials
• ITIL Foundation certification
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is preferred.

Desired Additional Qualifications for the Program Manager Position at Matlock:

• Experience supporting DOS/DS is highly desired
• Experience leading the successful transition of an existing large, contracted IT effort from another company is a plus
