Lab Specimen CollectionObtains specimens from patients using appropriate specimen collection and handling procedures.

Prepares specimens by labeling, handling, processing, transportation and proper storageAwareness of factors that influence test resultsSpecimen ProcessingPerforms specific laboratory tests following the policyFollows all laboratory standard proceduresPerforms and documents quality control required prior to reporting patient resultsOperates laboratory equipment.

Performs and documents instrument maintenanceMaintains proper laboratory recordsParticipates in proficiency testingPerforms other duties as directed by supervisor or designeeCooperates with other health professionals with effective communication to maintain good working relationships throughout the facility.

Able to easily understand complex instructionsAble and willing to maintain strict level of confidentiality regarding laboratory results and recordsFollow all facility, laboratory and safety policiesQualifications:
High school diploma or equivalentWork may occasionally require travel to local skill care facilities. Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.


Shifts and Schedules:

• 10 hour shifts
• Days
• Rotating Weekends (Every 4th) and Holidays (Every 4th
• Never Christmas or Thanksgiving)
