    Position Summary

    This is a privately funded project. The incumbent will focus on utilizing a variety of modern approaches to engineer novel resistance to cyst and root-knot nematodes in crop plants. This position is heavily technology-driven.

    Duties/Responsibilities

    The incumbent will care for plants required for executing research experiments. This will involve tissue culture, planting, watering, and harvesting of seed.

    He/she will conduct research to manipulate nematode and plant genes to engineer novel forms of nematode resistance. The incumbent will handle and analyze genomic and/or transcriptomic datasets, transform plants, and use a variety of modern molecular and genetic approaches.
