- Evaluating patient care upon admission and continually following established nursing protocols
- Supervising the development and maintenance of individualized nursing care plans for all patients
- Assigning patient care tasks to the nursing team
- Reviewing staffing rosters to ensure adequate coverage and making adjustments for absenteeism
- Competently handling IV administration and venipuncture as per state regulations
- Educating patients and their families on medication usage, specific disorder requirements, treatment benefits, potential side effects, disease prevention, and basic self-care skills
- Conducting thorough nursing assessments, treatments, and procedures
- Completing psychiatric assessments as per standardized metrics
- Dispensing pharmaceutical services within licensed boundaries and educational qualifications
- Developing discharge plans and reassessing them pre-discharge, including organizing post-hospital care arrangements to facilitate prompt and efficient discharges
- Providing emergency medical assistance within appropriate timeframes
- At least one (1) year of clinical nursing experience, with a preference for geriatric or mental health settings
- Completion of nursing education from an accredited institution leading to a Registered Nursing (RN) qualification
- Possession of a valid State RN License
- Maintenance of current CPR and CPI Certifications
- Potential need for unscheduled overtime and weekend duties
- Flexibility and willingness to work non-traditional hours
- Possibility of required travel
- Routine lifting of items weighing up to 40 pounds

ROLE OVERVIEW:
This role involves providing clinical supervision for the daily operations of the hospital, engaging with patients in therapeutic interventions, executing physician's directives, conducting assessments, designing and updating treatment strategies, overseeing patient care, leading group and individual counseling/education sessions, coordinating intake processes, ensuring continuity of care, administering treatments, and implementing restraint or seclusion methods when necessary. The responsibilities also encompass achieving patient milestones, maintaining accurate clinical records, managing IV therapies, educating families, and guiding and overseeing other mental health professionals.
