    The Supervisor - Vehicle and Equipment will lead and provide support for approximately 71 fleet assets in the South zone.

    This is an exciting learning and development opportunity for the Supervisor to use innovative technology for fleet forecasting and management.

    In this role, you will have the ability to improve quality, solve complex problems, foster change, make decisions, as well as improve processes.

    In this large zone comprised of 350 staff and 16 EMS stations over a geographical area of three districts, you will develop collaborative relationships while maintaining autonomy of your deliverables.

    Ambulance availability is a key deliverable and is achieved by meeting compliance with legislated ambulance safety inspection and preventative maintenance programs.

    The Supervisor will perform various activities to ensure that ambulances are equipped with medical equipment and supplies to enable EMS Operations to deliver ambulance services in a 24/7 operating environment across the South Zone.

    As the Supervisor, you will be the key point contact for South Zone Operations.

    This will entail providing support services covering vehicle and medical equipment management, as well as medical supply and EMS uniform management.

    The Supervisor will use multiple fleet management software systems to monitor, track, and record maintenance activities and provide fleet forecasting and fleet management.

    Description:
    The Supervisor will hold responsibility to manage, coordinate and schedule the ambulance safety inspection (ASI) and commercial vehicle inspection program (CVIP), preventative maintenance and scheduled and unscheduled repair programs for 71 vehicle assets


    Additional key accountabilities include:


    Maintaining legislated compliances on all vehicles requiring ASI or CVIP inspections and monitor for adherence to established preventative maintenance intervals.

    Performing vehicle maintenance activities and maintaining accurate maintenance records utilizing fleet management software systems including Fleet Equipment Management System (FEMS), Holman and GEOTAB.Coordinating the zone level commissioning and decommissioning of vehicles, including the EMS motor vehicle incident program.

    Managing financial budget for fleet assets in the zone, including reviewing and approving invoices.
    Providing leadership and direction to EMS Equipment team members and Biomedical Repair Technicians.

    Required Qualifications:

    Undergraduate Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Business Administration, Healthcare or related discipline.
    Minimum eight years' experience working in fleet management, automotive industry or emergency medical services.

    Required Qualifications:

    Intermediate skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.


    Preferred Qualifications:


    NAFA Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) or Certified Automotive Fleet Supervisor (CAFS), Journeyperson Automotive or Heavy-Duty Technician (red or blue seal) certification, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

    Experience with fleet management software systems.
    Experience with GEOTAB, Telematics or similar telematics technology.
    Previous experience with vehicle safety inspections and preventative maintenance programs.
