Under minimal supervision, the Budget Analyst plays a key role in developing, analyzing, and revising large, complex budgets and supporting schedules for assigned organizations or program areas. They serve as the go-to expert in their field, providing valuable insights and recommendations to management based on thorough financial analysis. In addition, they oversee budget preparation, auditing, and records management operations.
Key responsibilities of the Budget Analyst include:
Position: Budget Analyst
Salary Range: $47,000 - $63,000 Annually (Salary Commensurate with Experience)
Candidates for this role should possess an Associate degree in accounting, business/public administration, or finance from an accredited institution, along with four years of relevant fiscal analysis experience. Alternatively, two years of experience at the Budget Analyst 2 level or equivalent is also accepted.
