Job DescriptionJob Summary:
We are seeking motivated Apprentice Plumbers and/or Journeyman Plumbers to join our team. You will work under the guidance of experienced plumbers to learn and develop the necessary skills to become a licensed plumber in Allegheny County. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are interested in starting and growing a career in the plumbing industry and are eager to gain hands-on experience. Our company specializes primarily in new construction and remodels.
Responsibilities:
- Assist plumbers with various tasks including installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems
- Learn how to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Assist in the assembly and installation of pipes, fittings, valves, and fixtures
Use hand tools and power tools to complete assigned tasks
- Gain knowledge of mechanical systems and their components
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
- Provide excellent customer service during field service visit
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of plumbing principles and practices is preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Familiarity with reading schematics is a plus
- Previous experience in the trades or as a maintenance person is beneficial
