Manager of Infection Control

This acute care hospital serves the San Francisco Bay area, with 300 beds and a commitment to exceptional patient care. Our client is seeking an experienced professional for their critical Infection Control unit.

The Manager of Infection Control and Prevention will oversee the implementation and evaluation of infection prevention programs at the facility. This includes ensuring compliance with local, state, federal mandates, and The Joint Commission requirements.

The incumbent has authority to implement surveillance, prevention, or control measures when necessary, within regulatory guidelines.

Position Requirements:

California RN license or Medical Technologist (ASCP) certification required.
Master's degree in a Health Science Field preferred.
Certification in Infection Control (CIC) required.

Knowledge of microbiology, epidemiology, statistical analysis, current technology, standards of patient care, infectious disease, sterilization, sanitation, and disinfection practices are essential. Familiarity with the National Patient Safety Goals is also necessary.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of acute clinical experience, including 3 years in Infection Control.
