Description

We pride ourselves on our design, and want you to help us design the next app that people want to copy. We think of ourselves as craftsmen first, and as craftsmen we own things from concept to finished product. You will help us design our app and create a brand.

Responsibilities will range from designing components in Figma to building out the 'world' of the app in the medium of your choice. In general, you will make everything that you come into contact with more beautiful — our videos and posts, our office, and of course, our product.

Our design is influenced by companies that we admire like Notion and Urbit. If you vibe with their design or retrofuturist impulses, it is likely that we will be on the same page.

Qualifications:

Demonstrable history of producing designs that look great

Familiarity with UI design software like Figma or Sketch

Good vibes

Bonus Points:

HTML, CSS, and Javascript familiarity

Opinions on art/architecture

Interested in ideas

Location:

We have a very strong preference for in-person work in NYC. With that said, we are open to discussing remote on a case-by-case basis.

Compensation:

Combo salary+equity, very competitive
