    Applicants that already applied, do not need to reapply.rrrrGRADE23rrLOCATION OF POSITIONDepartment of Human ServicesrMD THINKr849 International Dr.rLinthicum Heights, MD 21090rMain Purpose of JobThe IT Assistant Director IV reports to the Chief Portfolio Officer and works in close partnership with the DHS programrstaff, MDT Applications Directors, and MDT Executive team to develop andrimplement approaches, processes, and procedures to support the planning andrmanagement of all DHS application systems.

    This position assists the Chief Portfolio Officerrwith planning and oversight of project management on all applications, monitorsrprogress, and reports status from applications for use in Federal Partners andrthe DHS Executive Team reporting.

    Closely monitors high-priority initiativesrand provides support to the Chief Portfolio Officer and direction to the MDrTHINK team. Provides guidance in PI planning while translating technicalrconcepts for the business where required.

    Provides input and review for AdvancerPlanning Documents, contract, procurement, and budget tracking for all productsrand services required for the operations and maintenance of DHS programs.rAssists with change control management and tracking processes for all workrundertaken for DHS on the MD THINK platform.

    Provide guidance and support torthe Executive Director of MD THINK.

    Provide guidance and analysis, identify,rmanage risks and dependencies while facilitating communication across teams.rDelivery of projects, planning (using a scaled Agile framework), on timerat/under budget and within scope.

    Identifies unauthorized priority changes orradditional demands on MD THINK resources that have not been approved.rPOSITION DUTIESrrr Keyr Stakeholder Reporting, Oversight & Project Program Management r r Ensure effective change management throughoutr the course of the project; employ agile and project management methodologiesr and tools.r r r Employ established MD THINBK reproject management methodologies andr tools.r r r Identify, coordinate, and monitor utilization of resources by programr stakeholders and on all projects.r r r Communicationr lead between MD THINK and DHS Communications, and internal/external keyr stakeholders to share project updates and key deliverables on a consistent,r regular basis throughout the lifecycle of the project.r r r Assistr CPO with planning and managing the portfolio of DHS products.r r r Workr with application and technical teams to monitor progress on Executiver priorities and develop materials related to status and processes forr completion, change control and scope management.r r r Assistr CPO with coordination with external agencies to handle processing of requestsr for support or solutions on the MD THINK platform including Initial requests, identification of funding, MD THINK workr requests, work authorization where appropriate, roadmap planning inr collaboration with the MD THINK teams.

    Collaborate with MD THINK legal onr development and modification of statement of work with external agencies.r r r Participater in and track action items from the change control board meetings and follow upr to ensure program authorizations are recorded and MD THINK activities are takenr appropriately.r r r Provider guidance on MD THINK standard processes for change control, work requests, workr authorizations, scope of work, defect management and reports.

    Bachelor's Degree inrcomputer science or information technologyrorrrrExperience:Eight yearsIT ProjectrManagement experience.

    rrDESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSThe ideal candidate will possess the following:

    rrrrr 10r years of experience in an IT environment in roles such as business analysts,r programmers or project coordinators.r Responsible for organization,, conducting, planning and implementingr various technical projects either for the company or its clients to roll out.r One year of experience and knowledge of Agile platform.r Sevenr years experience in computer development work with a project-based focusr and experience working with IT Teams.rrrSELECTION PROCESSPlease make sure that you provide sufficient information on your application to show that you meet the qualifications for this recruitment.

    The resulting list may be used for future vacancies with this agency.rBENEFITSContractual employees who work for an agency covered under the State Employee and Retiree Health and Welfare Benefits Program, have a current employment contract and work 30 or more hours a week (or on average 130 hours per month) may be eligible for subsidized health benefits coverage for themselves and their dependents.

    As a contractual employee, you will be responsible for paying 25% of the premiums for your medical and prescription coverage, including any eligible dependents you have enrolled.

    The State of Maryland will subsidize the remaining 75% of the cost for these benefits.

    You can also elect to enroll in dental coverage, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and life insurance, but will be responsible to pay the full premium for these benefits.rrLeave may be granted to a contractual employee who has worked 120 days in a 12 month period.
