- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
- Active Connecticut SPED license and teaching certificate.
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including those with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Prior experience working with students with special needs is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and families.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and for students with special needs when needed.
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Provide direct instruction in academic and functional skill areas.
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to support student success.
