    Schedule Details/Additional Information:

    day shift with weekend rotation

    Major Responsibilities:
  • Scheduling follow up appointments for patients being discharged that need to be seen by their primary care physician, shortly after discharge from the acute care setting. 1)Collaborate with Care Manager to identify patient population. 2)Develop a tracking system for appointments made, so report can be generated. 3)Develop relationship with community physician offices to be able to make follow up appointments. 4)Coordinate follow up appointment between patient and primary care physician.
  • Performance of secretarial and minor administrative services in support of department and Administrative clerical staff. 1)Schedule and arrange meetings and/or appointments with multiple attendees. 2)Make decision regarding revision of supervisor's/staff schedule to accommodate meetings. 3)Provide backup to the department Administrative Assistant as needed. 4)Managing apartments.
  • Preparation and dissemination of correspondence. 1)Type letters, memorandums, reports and other types of correspondence from rough drafts or provided copy. 2)Compile, analyze and summarize data to prepare specialized reports. 3)Create and maintain records and filing system within the department/unit. 4)Handing out IM letters to patients. 5)Keep an updated resource file for the purpose of providing general information. 6)Answer telephone, screen calls to determine priorities, initiate follow-up for calls received. 7)Coordination of meetings/special events with very little direction. Prepare agenda's and minutes.
  • Education/Experience Required:
  • H.S. or equivalent 5 yrs. secretarial experience OR Associates degree and 3-4 yrs. secretarial experience.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
  • Typing 55-60 words per minute preferred. Able to use several software packages (word, excel, etc.). Ability to create spreadsheets preferred.
