    JOB SUMMARYResponsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of all outside facility grounds, under the direct supervision of the Landscaping Manager by performing the duties as described below.
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Cuts lawns.
    • Trims and edges around walks, flower beds, and walls.
    • Prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth or remove damaged leaves, branches, or twigs.
    • Rakes and bags or burns leaves.
    • Cleans grounds and removes litter.
    • Keeps exterior building surfaces and walkways visually pleasing.
    • Spreads salt on public passageways to prevent ice buildup.
    • Plants grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs.
    • Waters lawn and shrubs.
    • Paints fences and outbuildings.
    • Cleans out drainage ditches and culverts.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must by able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEMust have high school diploma, GED, or currently enrolled in an educational program to attain the same. No work experience required.
    LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence, Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other Team Members of the organization.
    MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
    REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSWhile employed, must maintain a valid and active Blue Lake Tribal Gaming Commission License.

    While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and risk of radiation, due to exposure to the ultra rays of the sun. The Team Member of frequently exposed to vibration. The Team Member is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
