    Junior Accountant - El Segundo.

    Beacon Technologies is seeking an Accountant for our client partner. This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functions for General Ledger to ensure the efficient, timely and accurate processing of accounting transactions for our client. This position will apply the principles of accounting to book journal entries, reconcile accounts, create adjustments, and prepare financial reports. This position is part of Accounting Team located in the El Segundo, California, reporting to the Sr. Manager of NAD Commercial Finance.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Financial close; Journal entry prepare / review / approve, reporting and analysis.
    • Account reconciliations: prepare / review / approve (researching and resolving variances.
    • Analyze general ledger accounts for reasonableness and proper accounting flows.
    • Prepare financial and data analysis.
    • Perform ad hoc analysis as requested and communicate results effectively.
    • Partner with business finance teams on accounting matters.
    • Ensure financial results are reported timely and accurately.
    • Ensure process changes are in compliance with accounting / internal control policies.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance required.
    • 3-5 years of relevant functional accounting or finance experience.
    • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

    TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:
    • Proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Power Point, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams)
    • Advanced Excel skills.
    • Knowledge of Accounting Systems and accounting flows (Oracle Financials).
