- * The candidate will become familiar with and apply all internal policy guidelines for the purpose of ensuring Navy and Marine Corps Active Component and Reserve Component service members are physical and mentally qualified for enlistment, commissioning, and/or retention
- The candidate shall review and make medical recommendations on packages submitted for evaluation by the Accessions, Qualifications, and Standards Department using the Webwave II computer-based system
- Webwave II experience (preferred)
- Be a graduate from:
- A medical school approved by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education of the American Medical Association or the American Osteopathic Association or certification by the Educational Council for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG)
- A physician assistant school approved by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)
- A nursing school accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
- Possess a current, valid, unrestricted medical license, physician assistant license or nurse practitioner license
- For Physician Assistants: Individual must have passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam (PANCE) and maintain a current National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification
- For Nurse Practitioners: Individual must have passed the certification examination from a professional specialty and maintain current certification with the associated credentialing agency
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Preferred experience in a military health environment and an understanding of the military organization
- Approved medical, physician assistance, or nursing school

About This Role:
Role Overview:
Universal Consulting Services (UCS) a subsidiary of Tria Federal (Tria) is seeking a Secondary Reviewer for operational support services for our federal customer in Falls Church, Virginia
This position will join a team of administrative and healthcare professionals supporting healthcare operations, program management, and military healthcare related policies and programs
The successful candidate will provide program support to BUMED staff medical providers, along with General Schedule (GS) providers in the review of all medical cases submitted via the Webwave II computer tracking system and provide a medical recommendation based on that review
Medical recommendations support programs including accessioning, commissioning, retention, TSGLI first level appeal, and incapacitation determination review programs
This opportunity is 100% remote
