Service Engineer - Chicago, United States - Staffing Matches

    Default job background
    Description

We are looking for a Service Engineer in the heavy equipment, quarry, crane, or mining industry

In this position, you'll troubleshoot excavators, wheel loaders, trucks, and/or bulldozers that Distributors are having issues with. These issues could be hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic or mechanical.

You'll work with Distributor service or field technicians over the phone and email to resolve issues. If the issues are more complicated, you'll travel to their location to help them trouble shoot issues. On the weeks you're not traveling, you're in the office 3 days a week and remote 2 days.

The Service Engineer will work with the Quality team and investigate the cause of failures and work through the process to ensure product quality. You will play a big part in determining the differences between a defect in material/workmanship or an end user error.

The Service Engineer will also troubleshoot failures. You'll use your problem-solving skills to review failure trends and determine the root cause.
