    Job OverviewWe are looking for a Lead QA Engineer to join the BigRio consulting team to deliver projects to our clients.

    The Lead QA Engineer will own the QA process for the software product, including planning and development of test plans, test cases, working with SCRUM teams (currently 1) to own testing and in time scaling the QA team.

    He/She should be able to conduct manual testing and lead test automation for the platform. Collaborate with other QA engineering group members to apply best practices, toolset and standards.

    The candidate needs to be a team player willing, able, and enjoying coaching more junior teammates and bringing an uplifting influence to the team.

    In this role you will be accountable for the successful delivery of specific portions of software architecture, technical solutions, and related platform services for the Client.

    You will be the technical leader and solution specialist for the assigned application development and software engineering backlogs that focus on enhancing the features and capabilities of our online technologies and service platforms.

    You will work closely with the leadership team and business stakeholders to deliver software and IT services that meet user needs.

    The candidate will demonstrate proven expertise in developing enterprise-scale web-based solutions using industry-recognized cloud platforms (e.g. Azure or AWS), backend (.NET/Core), and frontend technologies (e.g. Angular or React).     Responsibilities and DutiesLead the design, development, and maintenance of automated test scripts to validate software functionality and performance.
    Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability.
    Design and implement comprehensive test strategies for complex software projects.
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and develop detailed test plans.
    Execute test cases manually and automate wherever possible to ensure thorough test coverage.
    Identify, prioritize, and report software defects, working closely with developers to resolve issues promptly.
    Drive the adoption of automation testing frameworks and tools to improve testing efficiency and scalability.
    Mentor junior QA engineers and provide technical guidance and support as needed.
    Continuously assess and enhance QA processes and methodologies to align with industry best practices.
    Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in QA and software testing.

    QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on both manual and automated testing.

    Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
    Hands-on experience with test automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, or similar.
    Strong understanding of QA methodologies, processes, and best practices.
    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
    Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    QA certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are a plus.
