    Requirements / Qualifications

    DESCRIPTION This is a regular, full-time, exempt, day shift position.

    The Occupational Therapist (OT) is a licensed professional responsible for providing evaluation and treatment of students in accordance with approved policies, procedures, and protocols.

    The OT plans, implements, and coordinates comprehensive therapy. The OT assigned to this position works within the Palo Alto and San Jose campuses. RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Evaluate student's abilities, and develop, document, and provide therapeutic plans of care
    • Meet with teacher to suggest modifications to adaptive equipment or activities as necessary
    • Liaise with student's families and other services to plan for the student's transition
    • Observe, note, and report on the progress of short and long-term treatment goals, including collecting data and reporting on progress goals
    • Carry out client's IEP goals and objectives in all relevant training environments including school, community and vocational settings

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
    • Current, full, and unrestricted California license to practice Occupational Therapy
    • One year experience as an OT preferably working with children, adolescents, and young adults
    • Knowledge of principles and techniques in the assessment and treatment of patient care and safety
    • Valid California driver's license
    • Criminal record clearance, or formal exemption
